WINSTON-SALEM, NC (WGHP) – Jasmain Warren, of Winston-Salem, said she was on the phone with her husband and had just started screaming when he told her that her Cash 5s lottery ticket ‘was turned into a prize of $ 470,130, according to an NC Education Lottery press release.

“He called me and said ‘Jasmain, you have to get up. I think we hit the jackpot, ”said Warren.

Warren said she had no plans to buy a Cash 5 ticket, but a suggestion from the seller of the Exxon on Stratford Road in Winston-Salem made her change her mind.

“We stopped over there to play Pick 3,” said Warren. “The clerk said ‘You better buy Cash 5 tickets too.’ So we did.

Warren, a travel nurse, was one of two winners who found all five numbers to share the jackpot in the December 12 draw.

She arrived at the lottery headquarters on Thursday to collect her prize and.

After the required federal and state withholding taxes, she took home $ 332,618.

Warren said she would invest a good chunk of the money in building a new house. She also said her husband was working on a personal trainer license, so they could invest some of the earnings in starting a personal training business.
