Janis Lesley Price – Hamilton County Journalist

Janis Lesley Price, 57, of Carmel, died Thursday, October 7, 2021 at IU Health North Hospital in Carmel. She was born on December 30, 1963 in Indianapolis.

Janis was a beloved daughter, an exceptional mother of five and a grandmother of one, whose pride and joy was her family. In high school, Janis was the best flautist in the group and the best player on the tennis team. She graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene. Janis loved to train and exercise, so much so that she was a personal trainer. She also took part in many outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, gardening, biking and rollerblading. Janis had a great sense of humor, was very funny and very intelligent.

She is survived by her mother, Marlene (Robert) Richards; father, Dr. Wesley Peik; children, Jordyn (Macel) Lopez, Russell Price, Samuel Price, Frank Price and David Price; grandson, Camilo Lopez; siblings, Pamela Bender, Wesley (Amanda) Peik and Ted Wright; and many other extended family members.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, Fishers. Visitations will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral home service.
