Deepwoken offers players a truly immersive RPG experience where they can explore a huge world full of dangers. Dangers include factions that you will interact with in your journey, whether it be during exploration, story, or goals in the game.
Players must be equipped to deal with these dangers, which include fighting styles that you can unlock in the game.
However, the obtainment of each fighting style is unique, and at times, can be elaborate and confusing. Not to worry, we have you covered.
You can currently unlock three fighting styles in the game: Legion Kata, Way of Navae and Jus Karita Fighting Style.
Each of them has a specific process that you need to go through to unlock them. We will outline these processes in detail.

Legion Kate Fighting Style
Starting off, you will need to go to The Starswept Valley, which you can find at Hive Island. Once you are here, you will need to make your way towards the nearby cliffs and do a whole loop around them.
You are basically looking for an Event where a Legion Captain is fighting with an Authority enemy.
Since this event is Rare, you might need to look around thoroughly and even try it multiple times. This includes exploring both below and above the cliffs until you come across it.
You should be able to find this event after a few tries.
Once you find the event, you basically need to help the Legion member defeat the enemy. You can help him out, but we recommend that you be careful.
If you hit the Legion member three times, he will get aggressive against you. If it does happen, we suggest moving away and then returning.
You can also let them fight it out, which can take a while. Eventually, the Authority enemy will be defeated. Once he is down, you will need to grip him, to end the fight.
Once the fight is over, approach the Legion Captain NPC and interact with him. You will need to repeat this event multiple times until he gives you the Captain’s Recommendation. You may need to do this anywhere between 2-8 times, depending on your reputation.
Eventually, he will grant you the Captain’s Recommendation, which you can see in your Inventory.
Once you have the Captain’s Recommendation, you will need to make your way to the island of Lower Erisia.
Instead of landing on the Coast, we recommend going towards the right with your ship. Eventually, you will see a cave that you can enter by the name of The Viper’s Jaw.
If you are still having trouble, you can find it just past the Bandit’s Castle. Inside the Viper’s Jaw is a Legion camp.
At this Legion Camp, you want to go all the way to the back to an NPC by the name of Amara. Interact with her, and you will get some dialogue options. Choose the second option.
Since you have the Captain’s Recommendation, she will grant you an item known as the Legion Kata. Equip this from your inventory and you will unlock the Legion Kata Fighting Style.
Way of Navae Fighting Style
Getting the Way of Navae fighting style can be a bit tedious, as it is entirely luck based.
However, there are no minimum requirements, and you can actually get it even when you are a low-level player.
You will need to start by going to Lower Erisia.
After that, land on the coast and make your way ahead towards the land. You are basically looking for a Navae Captive, which you can recognize by their torn clothing.
They can spawn anywhere in the Erisia area. However, we recommend that you look for the captive near the Towerstruck Lands.
The captive can be anywhere here, so keep looking around. Here are some nearby locations we also suggest looking for him at:
- Upper Erisia
- Burning Stone Gardens
- The Garden Reservoir
Eventually, you should be able to find him. When you do, grab him and carry him with you.
Once you have the Navae Captive, you want to look for any Nomad Leader that can be found near camps.
We suggest that you go to the Eastern Camp Master towards the right of Etris Docks when you are going up them. Alternatively, you can find the Eastern Tribal Leader at the Summer Isle.
Interact with the Nomad Leader while holding the Captive. Doing so will drop the Captive to the ground, and the Nomad Leader NPC will give you the Way of Navae.
Now you can open your Inventory and equip the Way of Navae from there. When you do this, your character will drop their sword to the ground and equip the Fighting Style with their Fists.
Jus Karita Fighting Style
The Jus Karita Fighting Style is the easiest of the Fists to obtain. Start by going to the middle of the town of Etris, where the giant tree is. Here, you will find an NPC by the name of Polis leaning against a tree. Approach and talk to him.
Keep in mind that you will need the minimum requirements of having Power 5 and 40 Stats allocated to Light Weapon Mastery before talking to him.
After that, choose the first dialogue option to obtain the Ring. Once you have the ring, talk to him again and choose the first option. Afterward, ask him about Justicar.
Go through the dialogue options and eventually, he will give you the Jus Karita Fighting Style. You can equip it from your Inventory to unlock the Fists.
That’s everything you need to know about unlocking all the Fighting Styles in Deepwoken. Some of these fists are much easier to get than others. The Way of Navae can be a real hassle to obtain because of all the luck involved. However, with time you should be able to obtain all of them and choose which one suits your needs.
